Benjamin Jacob Smith
Benjamin Jacob Smith was born In County Antrim Northern Ireland and Raised in Ballymena. From an early age Benjamin has been involved in Performing arts, through coral singing and training on productions such as High School Musical with Guildford youth, playing the lead Troy Bolton. His first taste of acting came through these Musical theatre shows and workshops. ( Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, West Side Story, Oliver). This early space to explore creativity safely proved essential to Benjamin in progressing and transitioning into the professional industry and developing his career.
He has trained in many disciplines of performance; Stage and Screen acting, Motion and Performance capture, circus, singing and physical theatre.
His mentors and tutors are varied; New York Film Academy, The Lyric Drama Studio, The Imaginarium Studios, Cine-magic, Aircraft Circus School.
Benjamin enjoys exploring different styles of performance as he feels they compliment one another and can be drawn out in different characters.
His on camera work ranges from Short Satirical comedies to powerful commercial dramas. He is a writer and director and runs his own short film productions in between jobs which he says keeps his creativity on peak and also his affinity for character building satisfied.
