Noemi Gunea is a Romanian actress, writer and model based in London.
She trained at the National Theatre Conservatoire in Paris and at Central Saint Martins in London.
She makes up half of performance duo Cheap Thrills. They’ve had live art commissions from the British Museum, Royal Academy of Arts and Arebyte Gallery. Their plays toured in Italy and in London at Camden People’s Theatre and Battersea Arts Centre. They have also made several short films that were shown on MUBI via South London Gallery, Quantum Shorts, Underwire Film Festival etc. In 2020 they wrote and produced the radio play ‘Free Your Mind’, which got shortlisted for a BBC Audio Drama Award and subsequently worked on pitching a comedy series with producer Sally Avens.
She is a regular collaborator of theatre company Teatro Vivo, having acted in their ‘Twistov’ at Somerset House and RichMix, ‘Great British Wedding’, ‘Lewisham Ushers’ and ‘Dacha’.
As a model, she has worked for brands such as Burberry, Belstaff, COS, Topshop, Nicole Farhi and Paul Smith.
